Qld: Drug policy sparks preselection row

BRISBANE, Jan 19 AAP - An independent candidate at the upcoming Bundamba by-election
in Queensland today denied he was running on a pro-drugs platform.
Both Liberal and Labor have placed Bill Heck near the bottom of their how-to-vote cards
because of his drugs policy.
But Mr Heck claimed the major parties were "idiots" for reading a pro-drug message
in his crime and drug policy and painting him as a "hippie drug pusher".
